Invest Detroit CDE will support the development of commercial and mixed-use real estate in Detroit by expanding the availability, affordability, and access to commercial capital. Capital will be made available for real estate development, building improvements and new commercial activity.

Invest Detroit CDE will make loans and investments in businesses and commercial and residential real estate projects to finance land development, vertical development of mixed-use, office, retail, and industrial development projects. 

The NMTC Program attracts private businesses and development by offering tax credits worth 39 percent of the value of the investment claimable over seven years. This credit offsets some of the risks involved in investing in low income communities and, in the process, creates a partnership between the private and public sectors to help create jobs and opportunity.
